MAT 137 Calculus II
Here are scanned solutions to the final exam. I cannot send personal information (like grades) by email, and I am required to keep the finals for one year, but (i) if you'd like to see your final, come visit me over the summer or next semester, and (ii) if you email me I will reply with two numbers, encrypted in some amusing manner, which you may interpret in any way you like. Click on the second link to see the distribution of final exam and overall scores - the first line is final exam scores, the second overall averages, as percentages (i.e. point total/500).
Thanks all for you hard work this semester. It was fun and instructive for me - I hope the same is true for you. Have an enjoyable summer break.
Here is a link to a two-minute video about the new NAUTeach program.
To access WeBWork, click on the link below, then use your dana ID as username and the last five digists of your (seven digit) NAU ID as password. You should see a homework set WW_1 in the upper left of the page. You should download and print a hard copy; after you've worked out your answers you can log back in to enter them.
Here is an introduction to WeBWork in case you've never used it before
You will have an unlimited number of attempts for each problem, but if you aren't getting the right answer after six or eight tries your time will be better spent asking for help (either in person or by e-mail).
You can access Mathematica using NAU's "Secure Global Desktop." Open the program Remote Desktop Connection and connect to windows.cefns.nau.edu, logging in with your dana id and password. You'll get a Windows screen - Mathematica is under Start --> All Programs --> Math Applications. Watch the first five minutes of this video
to get an idea how to use the program, and do some exploring on your own - we'll go into the computer lab next week to do some more experimenting. (The rest of the video is pretty interesting, but we won't need much of it.)
