An important factor in the application and analysis of the spectral data received is the amount of spectrums received per second. A MATLAB program was written to record the speed of capture at different internal exposure settings. Additionally, the team compiled reports on power consumption and conversion.

Tools and Testing:

The team analyzed a number of performance metrics for the specified components including power draw, operating speed and baud, as well as thermal properties.

Challenges:

Initial layout of the testing components yielded unexpected behavior. When further investigating these issues, discrepancies were found between pin out diagrams referenced. After addressing these changes, it was determined there was no stress to the component.
