Project Final Product

Team was able to test multiple hardware components under a variety of operating conditions to ensure performance. Deliverable products to the project sponsor include a collection of MATLAB programs for the control of the onboard STS. These programs include features to collect spectrums, set integration time as well as other functions.

The team contributed research and findings for space qualified parts with comparable consumer grade products for testing. We compiled reports on multiple flight ready components from assorted vendors. We preformed functional design and testing on the final optical isolator, RS232 transceiver, STS-VIS micro-spectrometer.

NASA was kind enough to provide photos of the final component in its assembled protective casing.
