Detailed Design (Structure)

Team SOLAREADY has perfected the design of this system and below those detials and specifications can be seen. A view of the updated design can be seen to the right. The structure was the first aspect of the design to be completed.















The base frame of the system can be seen in the figure to the right. This design allows for easy transportability as the base can be easily moved. The base of the system which is made of square steel tubing on the bottom prevents slippage. The rest of the structure is made out of circular cross sectional steel pipes and connected with purchased brackets of determined angle to hold the base together.






This image shows the completed design of Team SOLAREADY's project. A smaller solar panel is used in the figure to show the back brackets in which the solar panel is attached. The linear actuator can be seen in the back of the middle of the triangular support. The 18' stroke linear actuator allows for the system to reach all necessary angles for tracking. This shows the complete sturucture of the system.
