Project Description

This project looks to solve one of the biggest problems that the United States faces today, opioid addiction. More specifically, we hope to be able to help pregnant women with opioid use problems. These women have to go through a great deal of complicated situations that include having to take medications, counseling, and case manager meetings. Not to mention the hassle these women have to deal with as they are not treated like pregnant mothers, but instead they are treated like addicts. All of this in an effort to recover fully to be able to keep their child. Our solution is to create a mobile application that helps with this process in a variety of ways. The motivation behind this app is to help these women not only recover from this addiction, but help them keep their child. An additional motivation is to help our sponsor with research from the app and with a potential grant that will also help with researching this problem further.
