Design Cycle
Milestones for Efficient Vehicle
Engineering Tools Some of the tools we used to design our vehicle systems include: SolidWorks, CosmosWorks , FloWorks, and Microsoft Excel. To communicate our ideas to each other and our client we used the Microsoft Office applications as well as sketches in SolidWorks.
Development Process Our designs started with a general layout of the vehicle. Then individual subsystems were designed with regards to the rules and predetermined parameters. Using those subsystem designs individual parts were designed and analyzed. Then the designed parts were altered to more specific guide lines and the other parts of the vehicle. Our parts were also redesigned based on the availability of parts and the ability to manufacture them.
