Jeremy DeGeyter is a senior civil engineering student at Northern Arizona University. Jeremy has experience in the construction industry as a stonemason and a general contractor in the residential sector. Jeremy’s primary interest is in the field of geotechnical engineering and he currently works as a lab technician for Speedie and Associates, Inc. performing soils and materials testing. Jeremy is the Project Manager for the 2014-15 NAU Concrete Canoe Team and is looking forward to competing at PSWC in Tucson this April.

Cynthia Alvarez is a civil engineering student at Northern Arizona University in her senior year. Cynthia has interests in becoming either a structural engineer or hydraulics engineer after graduation. She is the reinforcement lead for the 2014-2015 Concrete Canoe Project. She is excited to see this project come to life.

Kristin Van Sciver is a senior civil engineering student at Northern Arizona University. Kristin has experience with structural engineering for residential homes through her internship at Felten Group, Inc. Kristin hopes to continue her career focusing on structural engineering. She is the Concrete Lead for the 2014-15 NAU Concrete Canoe Team. Kristin has high hopes to see NAU improve this year.

Matt Snyder, Structural Analysis Lead

Matt is a senior civil engineering student at Northern Arizona University. Matt is the structural analysis lead for the 2014-15 NAU Concrete Canoe Team and is electrified with the project. Matt has taken structural analysis and reinforced concrete classes. Matt has practical experience in the landscape-construction trade and has interests in incorporating landscape architecture into civil engineering projects to promote environmental sustainability.

Ramon Aguilar, Quality Control and Safety Officer

Ramon Aguilar is a civil engineering student at Northern Arizona University completing his final year. Ramon has experience in structural engineering for radio tower, zip-line structures, and residential home through his internship with ARQ Engineering, LLC. Ramon wants to be a structural engineering after graduation. Ramon is the quality control lead, conference lead, and second in command for concrete for the 2014-2015 Concrete Canoe Project. Ramon is looking forward to see how much the team has improved from previous years.
