Welcome to CS 396!

Welcome to Principles of Programming Languages! Although I will usually send emails to the class email alias, I will also occassionally post important announcements here for you to refer to. So be sure to check this class homepage regularly for updates. Specifically:

• I expect you to check your email at least once a day, preferably more often. Important updates will be mailed to the class alias regularly, so get in this habit early.
• This web site is where all the action is: in my classes, all homeworks, programming assignments, solutions, etc. appear on the class website. You will very rarely have anything handed to you in hard copy.
• Although it would be beautiful to do everything on the web, hardcopy is really necessary for some things --- like your assignments. I need to be able to annotate, write comments, and have something archival to hand back to you. Thus, unless otherwise stated, all of your assignments will need to be submitted in hardcopy, organized in accordance with both the general submission guidelines, and the specific requirements stated in the assignment write-up. No emailed assignment write-ups will be accepted!
