The Infrared Spectrometry Laboratory (ISL) at NAU focuses on developing techniques for collecting and analyzing high-resolution spectral reflectance data used for a range of environmental applications. In situ spectral measurements are fast becoming an indespensable tool for natural resource assessment, remote sensing and monitoring ecological changes. ISL training workshops and short courses are designed to introduce NAU students, faculty, staff and research partners to a diversity of spectrometer data collection and analysis methods applicable to multiple disciplinary fields.
