This is Haptic Robot 2023
The team spent 26 weeks designing, analyzing, and manufacturing a 3-degree-of-freedom Haptic Robot to aid in rehabilitation by minimizing the weight and maximizing stiffness and accuracy. Haptic robotics devices are input-output devices that track a user's physical manipulations in coordination with a computer that drives a robotic motion system. In the summer the team made multiple design changes and built a scale model prototype. In the fall the team continued to make changes to the design while also manufacturing parts. The final robot design is in the works to be built. Stay tuned.
