Summary of Project

The Student Steel Bridge Capstone is a project designed to develop a 1:10 scale model of a 1.25 mile bridge planned to be developed in Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, Louisiana. The scale model will be used to show the potential full scale model of the bridge which will be used as a pedestrian walkway addition to Hideaway Disc Gold Course. The design team will develop the 3D rendered model along with work with fabricating the scale model bridge. The project team will compete support weight and resist deflection within a reduce construction time limit. The team will compete at the Intermountain Southwest Symposium April 11-13, 2024.
