The goal of this project is to conduct a preliminary assessment (PA) and site investigation (SI) of Harquahala mine to evaluate possible threats to human health and the environment. Using information from the PA/SI, remedial actions can be evaluated for this site in compliance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
The Harquahala mine is privately woned and active as of 2023, but the focus of this project is the adjacent area owned by the Bureau of Land Management.
