• Set policies and procedures for the operation of the Colorado Plateau CESU in accordance with
  1. the objectives of the CESU Network as outlined in CESU objectives
  2. the policies and guidelines set down by the CESU National Coordinating Council and in accordance with the CESU Agreement signed June 1999
• Ensure that the Colorado Plateau CESU promotes and adheres to the CESU objectives
• Set up administrative procedures with a handbook
• Prepare a Mission Statement which identifies research, technical assistance, education and other services that it is especially qualified to provide
• Develop an Annual Plan
• Develop a multi-year Strategic Plan
• Identify stakeholders/users/clients and define how the CESU will involve them (state agencies, communities, the public, environmental groups, public schools, etc.)
• Define an Evaluation and Reporting Plan
• Develop a strategy for publicizing the CESU and its work
