Advising
Each undergraduate student who has a declared major and each graduate student pursuing a master's degree in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is assigned an academic advisor from among the permanent faculty in the Department. Undergraduate students who wish to pursue a minor in the Department are also assigned an advisor, typically the Department Undergraduate Coordinator. The Undergraduate Coordinator also provides initial advising to all incoming students and assigns permanent advisors to all majors and graduate students.
