History of the Lab
The Modeling & Simulation Lab was established in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics
at Northern Arizona University in Spring 1999. Located in the Adel Mathematics Building on the
Flagstaff campus of NAU, the lab is staffed by students and faculty with expertise in
mathematical modeling, computer programming, statistical modeling and project design.
The goal of the lab is to provide students with research opportunities to solve real-world
problems using modeling and simulation approaches.
We design and develop mathematical models and simulations for real-world problems.
We provide mathematical and statistical support for modeling and simulation projects.
