Dr. David E. Hartman, P.E., Professor; (Ph.D., Materials Science. Rice University, 1965); Dr. Hartman has worked nine years in industry and has consulted for over 24 companies, including Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He consults in materials engineering, stress analysis, failure analysis, forensic engineering, creativity, and design. In addition, he has conducted workshops on "enhancing creativity in the workplace" for various companies. He is currently an ASME/ABET Evaluator for mechanical engineering programs in the US.
