What are you doing? How are we doing? Geology is certainly in a state of flux, but what else is new? During the 1990s hydrogeology, environmental geology, and surficial geology became strong players in our field. During the last half of the decade, "earth systems science" became the vogue in universities across the country. You can get some sense of where NAU geology is going from our faculty up-dates in our newsletter and by looking at their WebPages. But we will continue to evolve, in response to changes in our discipline and to demands from students and from our administration. You can help us. We need to hear from you out there in the real world. Where should NAU Geology head as we enter the next millennium? We sure would like to hear from you, personal news as well as professional opinions. We would like to know what you have been doing, and so would the other grads who haven't had the time to stay in touch with you. Where are you now and what have you been doing since you left Flagstaff? Send us a paragraph or two letting us know what you are up to and we will get out another issue of Earth Sciences: Its About Time to let all our readers know about you. Would you like us to let everyone know your address? Do you know any alumni who are not on our mailing list but would like to be? Alumni Responses Jason Blake (Class of '80) Robert B.
