Last year, NAU produced the most Native American engineering graduates in the U.S., according to Diverse Issues in Higher Education.

New Merged Department
As of July 1, 2009, the departments of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering merged and will be renamed EE&CS. David Scott is the new chair and Dieter Otte is the assistant chair of the new department. Programs and course prefixes are not affected, but we hope the new structure will provide opportunities for increased collaboration and service to students and employers.
