This is a suggested program of study. Courses can be taken in any sequence, if you have taken the prerequisites.
LIBERAL STUDY ELECTIVES REQUIREMENTS
6 hours are required in each of the Humanities (HUM), Social Sciences (SS), and ARTS blocks.
Of the above 18 hours, at least 12 must be 300 or 400 level courses.
Of the above 18 hours, 6 must have the same prefix and 3 must be cross-listed as World & Cultural Diversity (WCD).
6 additional hours are required in any of the Humanities (HUM), Social Sciences (SS),or ARTS blocks or in a foreign language. However, if a language is taken, it may not be the native language of the student.

NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering majors are required to complete at least 9 hours of professional electives, selected in consultation with the student’s academic advisor. Electives should be chosen to provide depth in areas of particular interest to the student.
In general, any CSE course numbered 300 or above that is not otherwise required for the major may be submitted as a general professional elective. Electives that satisfy the CSE elective1 and the CSE elective2 requirements are marked below. With the prior approval of the department chair, an advanced course from another department (especially electrical engineering and mathematics) may be substituted for one professional elective.
