CM TRANSFER STUDENTS
There are special conditions for transfer students to the Northern Arizona University Construction Management program.
Please contact the CM Program Coordinator, Greg Ohrn (greg.ohrn@nau.edu)if you are considering transferring from either another NAU major or from another college or university to the NAU CM program.
A review of your earned transferable credits is done BEFORE you enter the program.
Although the university may accept credits as transferable university coursework, the department does not apply transfer credit for 300 level or above courses with NAU CM prefixes. (See program of study). However, the student, who desires to transfer upper level coursework may be granted credit if they complete the final examination for the proposed transfer course at NAU and receive a 50% or better score. (The student must have taken the course for the proper credits and have the credits transferred to Northern Arizona University. The prospective student is given ample time to prepare for these replacement examinations.)
NO CREDIT is given for work experience. However, a student with considerable PROVEN experience in one or more areas of study may be allowed to substitute other university level credit work in business, engineering, mathematics or science for the replaced courses. These substitutions will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
NO TEST OUT credit is given for any CM courses, except as stated above for completed coursework. The Univeristy has its own rules for College Level Placement Examinations outside of the CM prefix.
The NAU CM department solely reserves the right to review transfer credits and work experience on a holistic "status of study basis" and what one student receives as transfer credit is not to be seen as precedent for any other transfer student.
