The Construction Management Organization CMO

CMO This is the umbrella construction management student group on the Northern Arizona University Campus. We coordinate the work of the various chapters with faculty. We coordinate the various community service work opportunities and run the student golf tournament and senior banquets.

CMO Meeting Thursday, November 19th. In the engineering building, room 101 at 7:00 P.M. This will be the last meeting of the semester so show up and if you have any questions email Adrian Inama api2@nau.edu

United Way needs volunteers to help setup booths Wednesday from 9AM-12PM & Thursday 12PM-6PM November 18th & 19th. Also to take them down Saturday from 4PM-6PM November 21st. It will be at the Dubois Center and Contact David Grider for a time slot David.Grider@nau.edu

Graduation Banquet at Horseman's Lodge on Thursday December 3rd, 2009 starting at 5:30PM. All graduating class, faculty and guests (1 per invitee) are invited. RSVP as soon as possible with your name, guest name (if any) and meal choice.

Option 1:

Mountain Trout: 8oz fillet, lightly breaded and topped with roasted pine nuts.

Option 2:

Pesto Chicken: 12oz fresh chicken breast, sautéed and served with delicious pesto cream sauce, topped with roasted peppers and pine nuts

Option 3:

12oz New York Steak

All meals come with a salad bar, baked potato, Iced Tea or Coffee, and Dessert

Please respond by Monday November 16th 2009 with your name and guests name and your meal choices to ensure that you will be able to attend and get the meal of your choice.

Please note that seniors and faculty get their meals paid for but all guests will have to pay prior to the banquet (30 dollars)  Should you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me.

Northern Arizona University  construction management students are very active outside the classroom in service to industry and community.

All of the construction management student organization activities are geared around public service, service learning, and service to industry.

Students learn by doing, and develop leadership skills by leading, not by reading about leadership in books.

Northern Arizona University Construction Management students have taken part in the following activities:

  • Golf tournaments for the program and for AGC.
  • AGC annual Banquet - docents for silent auction
  • Student appreciation banquets, fall and spring
  • Home rebuilding on the Navajo reservation.
  • Pouring concrete slabs for NAU facilities.
  • Building small sprouting shed-greenhouses to be provided to charitable organizations
  • Construction days at the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix - docents
  • AZ Masonry Guild it "It Makes a Village" competition - docents
  • ASC/Industry competitions in Reno NV

  • Research outpost construction in San Clemente de Terapa, Sonora Mexico
