I came to NAU in 2005 after several years working in consulting engineering as a bridge engineer in northern California. My professional practice and research interests are in the areas of seismic assessment and design, precast concrete bridge design, fiber reinforced concrete masonry, and design of snow supporting structures for avalanche defense. I am actively involved in the development of the masonry design code “Building Code Requirements for Masonry Structures ACI 530 / ASCE 5 / TMS 403 via the Masonry Standards Joint Committee (MSJC). I am a licensed professional engineer in the State of California.
